the touchscreen d-pad probably annoyed me more than anything, but it was generally okay. TBH, if I replayed it, I'd probably play this version again over the SNES original, and this was always one of my favorite games. it'll even re-do whatever blitz you last inputted for Sabin, so if you're in an area where you keep running into the same enemies where you keep using 'fight blitz blizzard-spell cure' then it'll keep repeating that for you. When I got stuck in a different world Spira, I met Yuna and accompanied her on a trip as a 'Guardian'.

I'd say half of the battles in the game you're just hitting 'fight fight fight cure fight fight fight cure' or something, so the auto-battle is a great addition. Lively, cheerful, and a pro blitz ball player who lives in the big city Zanarkand. I know the input but I don't know when I put it in. it basically has the battles run at double-speed (or faster), with each character repeat the last move you commanded them to do, unless you interrupt it, at which point it will play normally at normal speed. I'm stuck on the boss at the mountian when you try to find sabin. The Bum Rush - Sabin's most damaging Blitz - requires a full 360 trip around the control pad. yes, the sprites suck, but the backgrounds and enemy designs are generally an improvement, the music is intact, it has a quick-save feature where you can save anywhere, but the save is deleted when you resume the game, it has cloud saving (particularly nice if you swap between android devices, i swapped between phone and tablet regularly) and the auto-battle alone is amazing. Sabin's special technique is 'Blitz' which does a high amount of damage if fighting-game style commands are executed correctly.

I also thought the sprites sucked, and told myself I wouldn't get it, but I had to stay at a hospital while traveling abroad, so I picked it up to occupy myself and was pleasantly surprised.
